Ershied radiology center in Ramallah placed an order for the first computed radiography system to be used in Palestine. The Kodak CR850 is a step forward in the new film less radiology environment intended to obtain digital x-ray images from conventional radiography including mammography and panoramic studies. The unit will both decrease cost of imaging as well as increase work flow and make radiology departments chemicals free.

Patients Friends Society of Nablus aquired the first multi slice CT in Palestine. The Philips Brilliance 16 CT is a break through in computed tomography. The B16 is a mid range unit falling between the twin slice and 64 slice CT providing cardiac capabilities.
